Thank You, Bishop Thomas!

Feast of St. Andrew, Apostle

This evening, (30th November) the Bishop of Brentwood celebrates a Solemn Mass of Thanksgiving in his Cathedral Church as he prepares for retirement.

Bishop Thomas Mcmahon

Bishop Thomas has been a great friend to the Ordinariate, and those of us in his Diocese, working in his parishes, are extremely grateful for his pastoral care.

When we left the Church of England (almost 2 years ago) we faced an uncertain future. However, in the light of the Apostolic Constitution and the Holy Father's request for generosity on behalf of the English Bishop's, +Thomas appointed the'Brentwood Seven' (now eight) to parishes in Ilford, Clayhall, Eastwood, Benfleet, Colchester, Wickford and Chelmsford.

On behalf of my brother priests, we thank the Bishop and wish him a very happy retirement!
