off to the land where Jesus walked...

Dear friends,
I find myself in an incredibly privileged position.
Tomorrow I travel to Israel to accompany a ten day pilgrimage as Spiritual Director to Dr Scott Hahn, professor of Theology at Steubenville Fransiscan University. I've been an avid reader of Scott Hahn for a long while and so for me personally this I'm sure, will be a most memorable trip. I shall  pray for the Unity of God's Church, of course and especially for those yet to make the journey home?
Below and for your interest, please find a brief bio regarding Scott and Kimberly Hahn.
Every blessing
Fr Jeff
PS hoping to post pics daily on St Peters Roman Catholic Church Eastwood FACEBOOK page

About Dr. Scott & Kimberly Hahn...

Dr. Scott Hahn:
Dr. Scott Hahn has accomplished so much: Contemporary Author, Theologian, Public Speaker, President of the St. Paul Center for Biblical Theology, Friend, Husband, Father, and Grandfather. We are so blessed to have both Dr. Hahn, and Kimberly on the this Pilgrimage to the Holy Land.
Much of Dr. Hahn’s work has been derived from his conversion to Catholicism in 1986, which gave him content for his highly acclaimed, “Rome Sweet Home”. Scott has been quoted in saying: “My work is about reading the bible, reading it with you, and reading it “from the heart of the Church”. If you read the Bible the way it was written, you will read it from the heart of the church, which ulti-mately is the “heart of Jesus”. His studies have lead him to realize that we are all privileged to read the sacred page within an unfathomable community: the communion of saints, and the voices of Catholic Tradition. Dr. Hahn went on to say “The Bible and the liturgy were made for one another. In the Old Testament and the New Testament: the Scriptures presume, prescribe, and describe the ritual life of God’s people… of us… for us!” As Dr. Hahn invites you to dig into Scripture, we join St. Paul in his prayer:
“May the eyes of your hearts be enlightened, that you may know what is the hope that belongs to his call, what are the riches of glory in his inheritance among the holy ones, and what is the surpassing greatness of his power for us who believe… “ - Ephesians 1:18 - 19

Kimberly Hahn:
Having a similar conversion story, Kimberly is also an accomplished Author, Pub-lic Speaker, Friend, Wife, Mother and most notably, a Grandmother. We are blessed that she has been able to join us on this Pilgrimage straight off a Speak-ing Engagement in Ireland.
Kimberly joined forces with Scott to put out what would become one of their biggest selling books, Rome Sweet Home. It would be the book that would open their story about conversion to the Catholic faith, to the world. Since then, it has been translated in eight different languages throughout the world. Since then, Kimberly has written many more books focusing on Life and Marriage. Over the last few years, she has split her time between home schooling her younger chil-dren, speaking engagements with Scott, and leading a weekly Bible Study group at the Franciscan University. She is certainly an inspiration to us all, and will only heighten our Pilgrimage!
