He was ordained as the First Pope on AD 33 by Jesus Christ. According to the New Testament, Saint Peter was one of the Twelve Apostles of Jesus Christ, leaders of the early Christian Great Church. He was martyred between AD 64 and 68 (aged 62–67) on Vatican Hill, Rome, Italia, Roman Empire. Saint Paul is also known by his native name Saul of Tarsus. He was an apostle (though not one of the Twelve Apostles) who taught the gospel of the Christ to the first century world.
