Saints Peter and Paul, Apostles
Saint Peter was born in 1 AD in Bethsaida, Gaulanitis, Syria, Roman
Empire. He was ordained as the First Pope on AD 33 by Jesus Christ.
According to the New Testament, Saint Peter was one of the Twelve
Apostles of Jesus Christ, leaders of the early Christian Great Church.
He was martyred between AD 64 and 68 (aged 62–67) on Vatican Hill, Rome,
Italia, Roman Empire.
Saint Paul is also known by his native name Saul of Tarsus. He was an
apostle (though not one of the Twelve Apostles) who taught the gospel of
the Christ to the first century world.
He was born in AD 5 in Tarsus, Cilicia, Roman Empire. He was martyred in AD 67 (aged 61 or 62) in Rome.
Saint Paul is generally considered one of the most important figures of
the Apostolic Age. In the mid-30s to the mid-50s AD, he founded several
churches in Asia Minor and Europe. Paul took advantage of his status as
both a Jew and a Roman citizen to minister to both Jewish and Roman
audiences.
